We are a dynamic conservation research group, investigating key questions in conservation science that can help to strengthen the evidence-base for informing effective management of threatened species and ecosystems. Why are some species and populations more vulnerable or resilient to extinction? Can we gain novel conservation insights by reconstructing past human-caused extinctions and historical baselines? What kind of tools and data should we use to understand population dynamics and identify extinction drivers in rare or cryptic species? Which management techniques are appropriate for conserving different threatened species?
